22/7 - Exhibition suburban camp - St. Petersburg
Martin Šimůnek drives the Friday farewell for children from the camps in St. Petersburg every year, but he was called away due to family obligations and it was up to Vlast to fill in for him. What could be better than taking the youngest from the club, Marty, with him to do a demonstration with his dad for participants of the same age or older.
It was a bit scorching, but after the exhibition, a small workshop was held for those interested, with bike rentals for an estimated 40-50 children, including competitions.
23/7 - Test camp and exhibition in the Polevsko bike park - Polevsko u Česká Lípa
We needed to thoroughly test the Polevsko bike park for possible camps in 2023, and Saturday's educational event with a Trial exhibition, where Martin and Vlasta were invited, was an ideal chance to fully experience the park. Club rider Petr Jeřicha used the space in the car to train for the Enduro Series and, despite the bad forecast, set out with Vlasta to meet Martin and host Michal Matys.
Apart from a few morning drops, fortunately it didn't rain until 3:00 PM and we managed to train a small group of bikers, have 2 short exhibitions and take some photos. We discussed the intricacies of the local routes, the possibilities of the bike park and rode the local cable car. Polevsko is a nice family bike park for us, where you can find technique, jumps and a few drops. The 4 trails will soon be expanded by almost 8 km of trail, but even in its current state with the possibility of more tracks and hidden jumps, it will entertain every biker.
We look forward to next year and a possible Bikeskills camp or class.
