The city of Litvínov invited us to the traditional St. Michael's Day celebrations, which are held in several places in this beautifully developing city. Our exhibition and workshop were in the center of the sports zones in the local castle park, right opposite the mobile stage. Unfortunately, it was clear right after arrival that Vlasta, Martin and Matouš would have a bit of a hard time. Rain, rain and a temperature that wouldn't drive a dog away. All that was left was to prepare everything and wait until the afternoon to see if the audience would arrive.
The spectators came – the rain stayed. The guys and participants fought bravely and even in total rain the workshop went on at full speed. We had to adjust the exhibition against plan and the first entrance took place on the stage, where Martin Šimůnek decided to jump even on the wet and slippery surface.
About an hour later, the sun peeked out for a short while and Vlasta and Matouš took their bikes out to jump for the local TV crew. Vlasta then did a small demonstration on stage and jumped over the tape, where he finished a little over 125cm, which is not a small amount considering the conditions. Matouš was moving around on the obstacles, where the only condition was that he could not jump on the ground, which was a big mud. Well, he was moving around well, even with the support of the spectators, but what happened at the moment of the sharp exhibition? ….. Well, a total rainstorm came, which was also the end of this event. We simply did our best, the organizer thanked us and the spectators for our courage too. Thanks for the invitation and for a year without rain.
