November is not exactly a busy month for us Trialists, but this year was a bit different. We were approached by MITAS and TRELLEBORG for 7 days of exhibitions in Hannover, Germany, at the world's largest agricultural machinery exhibition. After all, the attendance of over 450,000 visitors speaks for itself.
For Vlasta, it was 7 days on the bike 4 times a day, a chance to return after a knee injury, which was complicated by torn postoperative adhesions. For Mára Tryner, it was a chance to properly test the bike after a fractured shoulder blade. Our riders prepared for the event with intensive training and testing of MITAS tires.
The preparation of the stage itself was also thorough, including custom-made obstacles and the space and scenario of each day. Just to be safe, there was another rider in reserve, a bunch of parts and bikes. The special thing, compared to normal exhibitions, was the need to fit into a shorter block (about 5-8 minutes) and the involvement of a classic MTB bike, which was newly equipped with SPANK, MITAS and SUPACAZ components.
We honestly didn't expect such a large turnout, with the stand literally under siege at every entrance and people waiting for 30 minutes for us to start. I firmly believe that the top management of both companies was also satisfied and hopefully we will follow up on this event with some interesting cooperation.
